About Us...

I am sure you want to know how Mark and I met. Especially with me talking about him coming and going...so I decided you guys might want to know how God introduced me to this wonderful man!

Mark and I met through E-Harmony. Yep it works! We were "matched" back in August 2007. I was still living in Hawaii. I knew I was going to try and get to the East coast so I could be back near my family. We did the guided communication and then we started talking to each other through email. We emailed back and forth daily. I woke up every morning to see an email from him and responded (being six hours behind and all...) He cracked me up with his little things that he did and said. We talked about most everything.

With this good news in hand about heading of Virginia...I knew I could possibly pursue this relationship. So he and I continued to talk as I got ready to leave Hawaii. I even walked him through downloading the Yahoo Messenger so we could chat on there instead of the back and forth emails. You know, make it a little more real of a conversation. October 15th we headed towards VA.

We started talking on the phone once I moved here. Many conversations, for hours! At the end of October we decided to talk about meeting. That day came in November. I went to my sister Amanda's house. The night we met I will never forget! We went to Hibachi for dinner, then to Applebee's bar for a couple of drinks and more talking. I laughed so hard I cried. We talked about growing up, our families, our lives after moving out of our parents homes, everything! At one point we were talking and he had put his hand on my knee. Let me tell you my heart skipped that beat. . That weekend we stayed up late talking for hours before he went back to his hotel. We talked and talked. I felt so comfortable with him! Over the next couple of months I realize that I have fallen in love with this man. I was nervous to tell him. But when I did, he felt the same way.

Well a year and months have gone by. We try to not go a month without seeing each other. Whether he comes here, we meet in the middle or I head out for a weekend by ourselves. We have met each other's families and we enjoy those moments together as well, getting to know what makes each other tick.
On May 22, 2009 we were on a trip to Myrtle Beach with his family. We had enjoyed the week and this night is the night he asked me to marry him!! I couldn't have been more excited to marry this wonderful man.
There isn't a day that we don't talk on the phone or text each other. We enjoy every minute that we spend with each other. I cherish our moments as a family together. We have enjoyed our ups and downs of being apart. It isn't easy to be apart all the time. But I believe that God doesn't give us anything more then we can handle. Not a day goes by that we don't say I love you. We are busy with our lives, our work and of course the kids. But we make it work with God being the center of our relationship.

That's us. Thanks for stopping by to get to know us a bit. Our story isn't done and we look forward to telling you about us more in the future!

Very sweet :)

My husband and I met online. We were across the world from each other at the time. Then I moved back to North America and we were still 1200 miles apart. It took a couple of years of talking online and on the phone before we finally met, and we have been together ever since :)

What a great story. Peanut Head and I started with a long-distance relationship too. It went on for 18 months before we got engaged.
