Hi all! Hope this post finds you well. I will tell you first of all that's amazing when you don't have computer in your eye sight how much you don't really get on it. That's the case here. As well as some pregnancy flat out tiredness! So here I am to catch up and get to you what was promised!

A picture of our little boy! Which by the way we have decided on his name to be Breaker here at Our Lil Kilowatts. Thanks to my Dad who came up with that one.

The ultrasound tech even gave us the 4D pictures. I have always heard that they were pretty creepy. Although I really don't find this that creepy.I did "need" to do a little shopping this week to find next winter items for Breaker. Off season shopping is the best thing to do! But I just couldn't resist when I found this outfit...

I have decided that this should be his coming home from the hospital outfit. I can't even resist it! Sparky and Firefly totally agree with me!

Firefly and Wire Nut are enjoying a different space in our home these days. Although we are enjoying 40 degree weather here in the Cheese State...it's not enough to get rid of all this snow yet! So Sparky recently "semi" finished their room in the basement.
We purchased some airplane seats (first class, of course) and for right now that is their place of choice to color, read, play with play doh and whatnots! Sparky put in a tv, their air hockey table and some mats to run around on. Right now this is temporary because come later in the spring we will have to re-cement in the basement due to the leaks. But for now we are loving it!

So that's what is going on around here. The weekend has arrived and hopefully I can get motivated enough to clean up this house a little more and maybe even my van since this 40 degree weather is going to stick around! I am also busy at hand finishing up my Catechism classes for me to be confirmed on Holy Saturday. Until next time...which shouldn't be a week and a half. Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh, you already knew that! I don't have the pictures scanned yet...though I thought you might be chomping at the bit. So here is how we told Firefly and Wire Nut.
It's a onesie that I bought the other day. I did buy a girl one too, but of course this is the one that was waiting for them when they got home! Now it is time to do some winter shopping for next year. Sales here I come!!

I have...my lucky socks on and we are headed out the door to our appointment! The kids left for school this morning very excited for when they come home. So off we go. Oh and for those of you requesting the belly pic...here it is!

A Lesson

As I mentioned, I have been watching the Olympics with my family and really enjoying it. But I really thought about it last night when we watched a interview with Evan Lysacek. They talked to him about taking the gold and the Russian taking silver. The attitude that Evan Lysacek has compared to the Russian, really made me talk to Firefly about good sportsmanship. She doesn't do well when it comes to losing a game, matter of fact she gets pretty ugly. I hope that it's a lesson that sinks in a bit.

So to Evan and many others that I am watching in these Olympics I truly commend them for their behavior, weather they win or lose.

Friday Fragments - Feb 19

I will start this by saying, my absence is only because I am home and enjoying the loving of my family! I came home Tuesday and have been catching up around the house.

I enjoyed the time that I spent with my parents, sister and her family. It was great seeing them. Although my 1yr old niece was not really having me hang out around her...see...
That's a look of death people...that is "get away or I will kick your butt!" I obliged. Sometimes. HA!

There is a half of a cow in my freezer downstairs. Holy geez that's alot of beef people! Let me know if you have a fave beef recipe. Don't worry, you name it I am sure we have it in some form down there!

The Olympic fever has been caught in our house. Who knew a 10 and 6 year old would enjoy it so much! They are making me enjoy it more! Firefly even had to pick a favorite and do a mini report on the person she picked. She decided on Gretchen Bleiler. Although she did lose last night, she was still proud to do a report on her.

Friday Fragments - Feb 12

Another Friday. Which means a post of all the little things I have to say in one little post. Who hosts this little ditty you might ask? Well that would be Mrs. 4444's over at Half-Past Kissin' Time.

First of all, I do realize that I have been talking about snow incessantly...but I just had to show ya'll this. This is what some hotel ~~prisoners~~ peeps created during Round 2 of the storm Wednesday night. I was pretty impressed by his height and roundness.

I mentioned the other night that Baby Watt wanted ice cream. So down to the machine I went. This is what I got.

I looked at the machine and thought GIANT ice cream sandwich. Can we say notsomuch. That thing was the same size with just a little more ice cream then a regular sandwich. GASP you say! I know scandalous and should just be illegal!

I ventured out yesterday and had breakfast at a chain restaurant. Word to the wise...don't eat someplace the day after a two day snow in. Not good, not good at all.

Had to take a room temp shower this morning. Way fun at 5 am! That'll wake a girl up!

Well today I get to work! So I am pretty excited to get out. Then I am off to Delaware to visit my parents and my sister's family!

No work since Friday. Geez Louise!

Watched the movie Julie & Julia. Good movie! The Julie in the movie cracks me up. She sure reminds me of myself during this pregnancy. Her melt downs over the little things. I laugh only cause I can right now. Where last night I cried for my family. Silliness! Ahhh...hormones.

Moving right along to what it looks like outside...It never stops! Anyway, that's the report from the hotel room. Hope you are having a great Wednesday! I am very excited to see my Parents and sister this coming weekend!

Snow, pictures and whatnot...

I really haven't see snow like this since I was a kid. I thought I would show ya what's happening in the in the parking lot.... Plus I would like to show my hubby and kiddos, cuz well frankly I miss them.
That's what it looks like outside my window...it's the parking lot of the hotel.

That would be my rental car. It's a Nissan Versa. It's buried.
Just for giggles...that's my belly. I can still see my toes. Heaven forbid in another month or so!

Sparky and the kids sent me flowers this week to brighten up my hotel room. I love and miss them! Thank you my loves!

Okay that's what I have! Maybe I will venture outside for a bit and show you what 30 inches looks like from the ground perspective!

Friday Fragments - DC Edition

Ga mornin all! It's Friday! Some of you may know what that means. If you don't then you should head on over to Half-Past Kissin' Time and find out what it's about!

Have you heard about all the snow that DC is about to be hit with?! Yeah here the East coast was getting nice weather two weeks ago, I thought I was set coming here! Notsomuch.

Sparky and the kidlings sent me some flowers to my hotel room yesterday. I think they love and miss me. I know I sure do!

When I flew here on Sunday evening, I was beginning to think I didn't belong here. My rental car was not available at 10:30 pm (they closed at 9:00.) Monday morning when I woke up and was getting my uniform ready to work, I realized that my wonderful pregnant brain FORGOT all my hats, ribbons and accoutrements on the plane. UGH! I have been calling all over creation and they finally called me back Wednesday night to say they had it!! WEEHOOO!!!

I am getting pretty excited about another week of work and then I get to see most of my family in Dover!

My belly is growing, which means baby is as well. I am feeling more and more movement as the days go by! Our appointment is scheduled for March 1st to find out what we are having!

Okay I will sign off for now...need to read some of your Friday Fragments. I have the entire weekend to do so!

Overwhelming and Amazing...

I am in DC now. Keeping pretty busy, I have to admit. I have gotten lost numerous times. Have you seen this place?!

I am here for a couple of weeks working. It's an honor to be in such a place, honestly it is. I just had lunch with a friend and she pointed out to me where that plane hit the building. Crazy how life has changed so much in 9 years. Yet 9 years does not seem that long ago.

Well back to work I go...assuming I don't get lost doing it!

Just a little on the lazy side when it comes to blogging. All is well around the Kilowatt household. We had a Dr appt the other day to check on Baby Watt and all was well. Firefly and Wire Nut didn't have school on Monday, so they had the opportunity to hear Baby Watt's heartbeat. Although everytime I go to the Dr Wire Nut thinks I am "getting the baby out." We have got lots of cooking to do we tell him.

Anyway. Other then being on the lazy side, I have been getting ready to head to Washington, DC for Navy business for two weeks. Many things to finish before I leave for what may be a month.

This afternoon I was vacuuming the living room. I looked at the vacuum and decided that it was dusty and it needed to be vacuumed. Laughed at myself for sure.

You remember our Neighba's? She sent me a card this week. She work's at Hallmark (love that place!) and I just cracked up.
Lots of projects in the works lately. I will be posting those soon.

Okay I am off to finish my kiddos Valentines (I won't be here and must get them done.) Have a great day!!

Lost a tooth!

His very first! Wire Nut is very excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight. He lost it this morning while he was eating pancakes of all things!

Goodness. I am shocked fer sure! It's amazing how fast they grow isn't it? Tonight we are having her favorite for dinner. Kahlua Pig and Rice (the girl loved Hawaii and still does). I even made a little cake and decorated with multi-colored frosting (pics coming later). I am off to enjoy my not so little girl!!

This is the view of our drive to our resort for our honeymoon. It hasn't stopped snowing since early AM today. We are pretty excited and have already toured the resort. going to put my bathing suit on and hop in the Lazy River!

Wow. I have let the last few days whiz past! Honestly, I have been enjoying some catch up time and trying to fight this little sinus cold thing I have going on.

2009 came and went. This year has started very different then previous. I am used to thinking about all that is to be worked on at work. Now I am getting my brain ready for school and studying for an advancement exam.

I was very blessed in 2009. Engaged, married, moving, being with our children, meeting new people, trying new things.... The list is keeps going.

We brought in our New Year with a couple of parties. Wire Nut was pretty hyped up that evening. He kept asking..."Is this where the party's at?" Our last destination was Sparky's sister and her family. The kids made hats...

We even spent our day ice skating! Although I worried that Firefly wasn't enjoying herself. I was skating around and that girl was on my heels telling me to slow down! She was sooo worried about her mama and baby sibling. So I got off the ice to let her enjoy. Shame on me that I forgot my camera.

Wire Nut...he seriously lives up to that name more and more everyday. So don't know if you have heard it... There is a country song, Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean. Wire Nut knows the main part..."...take you for a ride on my Big Green Tractor..." The boy cracks me up. He only knows some words to a few songs, but he loves em. Obviously, he has noooo clue what the words mean. Okay, okay getting to why I am telling you this. He was singing that part the other day and this is why and what I found....

That is what we aren't having! Thank goodness because I was beginning to think that Wire Nut was trying to jinx us b constantly saying mom had two babies in her tummy.

Not so much. There is only one in there. We had a 12 week check up today and all is well! I am feeling great, which helps with the entire getting stuff done around the house thing.

Other then that I hope that you had a Merry Christmas this year. I have enjoyed spending this Blessed Christmas with my family and not having to travel this year. Then I will bring in the New Year with my husband this year and that couldn't be a better thing!

Going to catch up on a belly pic tomorrow as well...a little tired this evening. Thanks for stopping by!

Picking it up late, but I am enjoying showing you what I have on our tree! This ornament was the first on our tree this year. Although yes, Sparky has lived here since 2002, it was our New Home this year (the kids and I). Our wonderful Neighba's in Virginia gave this to us as a going away gift when we left over the summer. Yep you know that Hallmark sells their ornaments mid summer didn't you?!

Oh I soooo know I owe ya'll a picture of my special lights outside our house. I keep forgetting. It's a disease I have. Forgetting that is. I will work on that.

Next. Pretty excited about last night. My husband and I are finally going on our Honeymoon next month. I can't wait! We decided not to kill ourselves by going to someplace hot. I know, I live in Wisconsin, what is wrong with me? Well I just didn't feel like traveling and having jet lag and all that whatnot. So we are going to head up north of us for a 5 days in a room with a big ol tub, a fireplace and yes a waterpark indoors. Who said we have to take the kids to the waterpark. NO WAY! (Insert evil laugh)

Loving the heck out of my husband this week. Instead of last week. Just kidding. He came home the other night after shopping with his mom and he brought me this...
Baby Watt's first outfit.

I am making my sister a apron for Christmas. She knows about it don't worry. I really have to get back into sewing. It's fun believe me. I have made a little something for almost everyone this year. Anywho...back to the apron. I am putting double folded 1/4' bias tape on it. I called my mom and talked to my mother in law about it. They both feel bout the same as I feel right now. Grr. Love ya Sis! It's all a learning process that's all :)

25 Days of Christmas Ornaments - Day 17

Well the Christmas tree is finally up (well for a few days now)... I decided to join in on the Campground's fun and show you some of my ornaments.

Here is my first...but day 17...

When I lived in Hawaii I traveled with my boss numerous times. This little mittens came from a trip I took in June of 2006. I thought they were great and even bought some for my family to put on their tree that year. I was only in Alaska for a short 24 hours. It was strange to eat dinner at 9:30 pm and yet the sun was shining as though it was noon! At 1:30 am when I awoke to some planes it was dusk. It was a beautiful place what I did see in those 24 hours and I am thankful that I had the opportunity to even say I have been there.

Secret Santa Soiree

Hi all! Have you heard of the Secret Santa Soiree? Well if you haven't you missed out! These two GREAT ladies Georgie and Amy(bo) headed it up this year. I joined in an effort to get around the blog world (ugh, I feel like I am selling myself, whoops.) Moving right along. Those two ladies set up 104 participants all over the country to play Secret Santa.

But even better I received my package yesterday from a Secret Santa in Texas! Georgie and Amybo must have known that how much I love Dallas*!

Here is a little picture-ooni of my goodies...

A felt bag, hand towel, lotion (which I TOTALLY need right now), a Snowman ornament, cinnamon candies...and last but not least, a Michael's Gift Certificate! Weehoo! I. LOVE. MICHAELS! Oh...and my sweet Texan SS even sent me a coupon. Love her! SS...THANK YOU! I didn't even think I put that I like Cinnamon candies on my list...they are already open and being eaten.

Well that's what I have. Thanks again Georgie and Amybo. Also to my SS...can't wait to "meet" you!
