Catch up = Been tired so haven't blogged

Hi all! Hope this post finds you well. I will tell you first of all that's amazing when you don't have computer in your eye sight how much you don't really get on it. That's the case here. As well as some pregnancy flat out tiredness! So here I am to catch up and get to you what was promised!

A picture of our little boy! Which by the way we have decided on his name to be Breaker here at Our Lil Kilowatts. Thanks to my Dad who came up with that one.

The ultrasound tech even gave us the 4D pictures. I have always heard that they were pretty creepy. Although I really don't find this that creepy.I did "need" to do a little shopping this week to find next winter items for Breaker. Off season shopping is the best thing to do! But I just couldn't resist when I found this outfit...

I have decided that this should be his coming home from the hospital outfit. I can't even resist it! Sparky and Firefly totally agree with me!

Firefly and Wire Nut are enjoying a different space in our home these days. Although we are enjoying 40 degree weather here in the Cheese State...it's not enough to get rid of all this snow yet! So Sparky recently "semi" finished their room in the basement.
We purchased some airplane seats (first class, of course) and for right now that is their place of choice to color, read, play with play doh and whatnots! Sparky put in a tv, their air hockey table and some mats to run around on. Right now this is temporary because come later in the spring we will have to re-cement in the basement due to the leaks. But for now we are loving it!

So that's what is going on around here. The weekend has arrived and hopefully I can get motivated enough to clean up this house a little more and maybe even my van since this 40 degree weather is going to stick around! I am also busy at hand finishing up my Catechism classes for me to be confirmed on Holy Saturday. Until next time...which shouldn't be a week and a half. Have a wonderful weekend!

Snow, pictures and whatnot...

I really haven't see snow like this since I was a kid. I thought I would show ya what's happening in the in the parking lot.... Plus I would like to show my hubby and kiddos, cuz well frankly I miss them.
That's what it looks like outside my window...it's the parking lot of the hotel.

That would be my rental car. It's a Nissan Versa. It's buried.
Just for giggles...that's my belly. I can still see my toes. Heaven forbid in another month or so!

Sparky and the kids sent me flowers this week to brighten up my hotel room. I love and miss them! Thank you my loves!

Okay that's what I have! Maybe I will venture outside for a bit and show you what 30 inches looks like from the ground perspective!

Shop, Sleep, Shop, Sleep...

Yeah that's what I have been doing since Friday morning. Literally!

I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. If you spent with Family or Friends, I trust it was great! We had a wonderful time our first year as a family! Did you try anything new this year? I did! Believe it or not I tried homemade cranberry sauce. Can I say AMAZING! Makes me want some right now...brb.

Okay...sorry, back to the shop, sleep, shop, sleep...you got it.

Friday morning I was up at 4:15 ready to get showered and out the door. Yes, if you saw what my hair looked like whenever I wake up, then you would know why. So shower, shove some food in my belly, and out the door! Wally world here I come! Parked a 1/2 a mile away...but that's okay...still got what I needed and more. From there it was off to Target! Got everything there cept the one thing that is was okay that I didn't need it. Lastly, we were on our way to Kohl's. I finished up there and met my family for breakfast by 8:30.

I came home and slept. Yawn.

Saturday morning I figured there were a couple of places to get some things on sale.... I was able to finish up some of my list! It feels great!

I came home and slept.

So enough about that. Do you shop online for Cyber Monday? I really never have because I have always been working. I don't even know what is on sale tomorrow? Do you? Are you shopping for online toys? If you are not done shopping then check these guys out... Who knows maybe in a couple of days you could win a toy for your kiddos!

Tomorrow I head to the Dr...8 weeks! Again, I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! See ya later!

Worn out!

Hi all! I am wiped. Pregnancy number three is wiping me out! I was blessed with Firefly and Wire Nut to not have any morning, afternoon, well let's face it...all day sickness. But now this one...yeah. So today starts week number 7. Next week I get to meet my OB and we will be able to get a fer sure date.

With regard to a blogger name for this one. I did get a couple of options. Need to go back and find them, because that has been awhile now. (Sorry guys!) But my dad did just send me the other day, if it is a boy then we could go with "Breaker." Sparky is SOLD!

In other business...I got my hair did.

Yep I got brave. I colored my hair! I went to get a bit of a trim and the stylist recommended that I color it darker. She wasn't the first to say so...so I decided why not?!
I think that's about it. How is your shopping?! Will you go on Black Friday like my crazy self? I will head out with my Sister in Law. I am done with Firefly...I have been collecting things throughout the year, when I add everything up...it's not $50! I am impressed with how well I did for her this year. Although the kid has some growing feet and the knock off Uggs (sp?) I bought for her are not going to fit her! Wire Nut I need to work on. He is in that stage where everything that is boy he wants. So we will see on Friday what I can find!
Hope you guys have had a great couple of weeks! I am off to finish catching up on all of you!

D U N N...Done.

Yep it's done! Weehooo!!! Man does it feel good! So we finished all the little details today and it feels great. I can't wait to get down there and start on some projects. Oh and finish other ones as well. So this is it, last post with regard to the craft room/office. Now you can all go back to your regularly scheduled lives of me not hanging you on the cliff forever!

Okay here go. First up we have a tradition that Sparky's family did whenever they had a finished room in their house growing up. You eat dinner in that room to celebrate. So that's what we did... Um, so I had the self-timer take a picture of us but for some reason it came out blurry. Soooo...we have this one. Gonna have to re-do tomorrow to add Sparky, since his hard work is what got this room done!

This is Sparky's Office. We still have to get all his paperwork downstairs, but the computer is down and printers. So the rest will be done over the next week.

Here is my area. Sparky came up with the shelf idea. I. Love. Them. The Dollar Store, well it does have some great containers for cheapy, well $1.00, in case you didn't know. OrgJunkie really loves that place for the same reason.
The piece de resistance of the entire room. This baby. It's a dream come true. It holds all my ribbons! I get all excited just telling ya'll about it! But I told sparky look at all that space?! It needs more! Wonder what sales Michaels and JoAnn Fabrics are having this weekend!
There it is. Hope you like it! Whenever you come visit I would be glad to work on some crafts with you! As soon as I can get started on things I will be posting about them. With the holiday's coming I have been working on some gifts for the peeps!
Oh by the way...the desk and the file cabinets... Our friend's business was getting rid of a bunch of that stuff, so we paid $5.00. Two desks, and three file cabinets. Deal of the century!

Four Days and a Wake up!

Oh hi there faithful followers! You don't know how excited I am to be getting back to a normal schedule in life! With the wedding next weekend and the kiddos starting school that next Monday, I CAN'T WAIT! Weehoo! So here I sit on our porch enjoying 100 calories of a Miller Chill taking in the cricket noises around me. Love it.

So as you are such faithful followers I have come up with another post of wedding to do's that I have ta done! So here goes!

First two pictures are of the wine glass and knife for our reception. These came out great! I bought them on Etsy from Onehautehostess. She was great! Very patient picking out beads that we would like and sending us pictures of them. This was the end result and we are very excited to use them! Great price for these too...I found them on a professional wedding site and they wanted nearly $200 for them!
This next one is our Unity Candle. A total of $4! Yep! But it may be $5 because I am going to add a string of pearls around it to pretty it up a bit more.

These little beauties are "mint books." My mom found them on Ebay for some crazy price for 150 of them. You can order any type of picture you want, the specific date of your event and whatever else you want on it. I love them because they are a simple cute idea and I got to make them my own.
Well that's it for now. I have a few more details to finish up. Like how to get from the church to the reception. They really are only a 10 minute walk away...maybe I should walk... Nevermind. But riding the motorcycle to our hotel for the night is definatley at the top of my list! My Matron of Honor gets here on Wednesday and it will be great to finally get everything pulled togehter. The rest of my family will arrive on Friday and I can't wait to see them as it has been since Easter that we were together!
So thanks for stopping by...I am going to catch up on all of you guys now! Chat with ya soon!

Party Time!

Yep that is what I have been doing lately. I tell you what I couldn't ask for a better family to be marrying into! Sparky's family is GREAT! Just over a week ago the ladies in the family gave me a Bridal Shower. There were 20 of us there and we had a wonderful time of dinner, wine and dessert! I thought I would share some pictures from that night.
This is Firefly with her "wine glass." My to be in laws all painted wine glasses for everyone in attendance that evening.

This one was made just for me with a pearl necklace and Mrs. Ganser on it. I LOVE IT! This is Sparky's mom. She is a pretty great lady!

These ladies are 4 of the SuperMom's. That's what they call themselves. All of their boys grew up together and now they spend time together, taking trips and just enjoying each others company! There are two more ladies that weren't able to make it to the shower, but I look forward to meeting them at the wedding! I have more pictures that I need to get from other camera's from this great night...I can't wait to see those.

So last night (Saturday) was a Girl's Night Out or aka Bachelorette Party. We enjoyed dinner, drinks and dancing all night! Sparky was the bestest as he dropped us off and picked us up for the evening which allowed us to have a great time!

Here are all of us just after dinner. Then it was off to drinks on the pier with Anne, Heather, Gina and I.

Here I am with a "full body shot," for some reason I felt the need to request it. Don't ask. Anyway. I am wearing my necklace of the evening. It says Bride In Training and it has all things to do with electrical work. I loved it! Sparky's sister and husband made it for me!
Well that's that of my parties! The wedding is two weeks away and we couldn't be more excited! I need to update all about the wedding details! I have some great deals I have found and I would like to share them with you! Thanks for stopping by!

A Lazy Sunday!

Yep I am still alive! Hopefully this week will be a little less eventful! We are getting very settled here. Wedding plans are in FULL swing as we are 27 days and counting!

I thought I would introduce you to our house...

Believe it or not, I can't believe it, I was just looking for my post last year. It's my BLOGOVERSARY!!! WAY! Hmm. I think it's time for a giveaway. I am going out tomorrow, so I will see what I come up with. Stay tuned!

If you knew me a year ago I was getting here the day this little cutie was born.
I sure do miss her and love her to pieces! So Happy Birthday Little Girl!! I can't wait to hold you in 26 days!

Then just for fun I took these pictures today. I am wearing a shirt. I promise I don't hang out without one...not really cool... But I am working on getting rid of my tan lines from the bathing suit because of my wedding dress.

We just spent the day chilling out, playing Baggo with the kids, napping and just enjoying being a family! ere are the kids playing Baggo with us. It was great to play with them because you get to work on math skills too! Fun stuff!

Anyway, wanted to say hi to ya'll! I think I have come up with my centerpieces for the wedding. Working on a photographer...oh and the flowers have been picked out! WAY EXCITED about that! Until next time friends!

We have arrived!

We are here, we are here!!! Well as most of you know by my twitter's we have arrived in Wisconsin!! Friday and most of Sunday were spent driving. With a stop in Ohio to visit Sparky's family.
I took some pictures along the way, duh...like I wouldn't...so here we go!

Here are my feet. If you don't think they are pretty, I apologize...I would work on that, but there is to much else going on...as for shaving, yeah gotta get to that too... Crud. Anyway...this trip I didn't get carsick at all! Wee hoo! Thank the Lord, I couldn't have handled it. But this is what I did.

This is apparently what he thinks about me sitting like that. Plus he listens to his Irish music so as to not hear me a talkin. Meh, oh well, I watched two movies.

Wire Nut with his Transformer's bag that he carries toys in. At some point it became a cool hat to wear!
Lego's were VERY popular during this trip. They played with these for HOURS!! They only watched one movie during our total of 19 hours of driving.
S0 if you'll remember, I did this post before we left. Remember this guy?

Well he became a source of entertainment and probably a good idea between Sparky and I for future travels. Believe me when I tell you I had a ton of fun taking the following pictures, I cracked myself up more then you would know!

First up, the Sears Tower. Sparky pointed it out and I went to take a picture...Visconsin got in the way! He apparently wanted to be in the picture!

So as if that wasn't enough, we were driving by the Sox Baseball Stadium and I wanted a picture of that...apparently he wants to go to the game?! Were for the Brewers Visconsin...get it right!

Lastly, he was very curious as to when we were going to visit Six Flags? So were the kids, but I told them that they could drive back tomorrow...not a peep since!
Sooooo, our idea for Visconsin is going to take him on various trips. Like I said I was cracking up like crazy! Now we are getting settled in, unpacking and organizing. I will post some pictures of the house in the next couple of days. I need some sleep, lots of errands to run! Thanks for sticking with me on this post...

Taking a bit of a break...

Hi guys. Phew its coming down to crunch time. Things are a movin and a shakin! I am getting everything finished up around the house (packing wise) then I have to clean.

Sparky will be here next Tuesday and we will pack out everything, move out of the house on Thursday.

So I will be around here. Checkin up on ya'll. Making sure no ruckus is going down. But I just may not be very "posty." Hmm. That word could grown on me, I like it.

Firefly is doing a little bit better when it comes to moving. She received Camper of the Week at daycare last week and that made her feel like a million bucks! But then again, when I keep telling everyone that she was the C.O.W. at daycare she cracks up. Good stuff I tell ya! Anyway, Wire Nut is a little on the sick side. Seriously, how many times in one day can a mother say "Blow your nose!" Alot. So the both of them have moved on to the fact that they realize it is summer and they want to stay up all hours of the night on account of the fact that they are not going to school. They keep forgetting that we get up at 5:45 am to go to daycare everyday. I digress.

Anyway, that is what is going on in our house. Very excited to have all of my household items sold by the end of the weekend! Wee Hoo!! I will check ya'll later.

What We Did this Weekend...

Hi all. Yep a day late, but I was busy! So I am stopping in to give an update. Here goes.

I have so enjoyed this weekend with my children. I know that may seem weird to some of you, but honestly some weekends I just get a little of wits end with the bickering and whatnot. So it was nice to have a weekend of family time without a bunch of whining!

So this weekend I started packing. Let me tell you that I have really been dreading this. I don't know why. Sparky and I have talked about it and I guess it's the fear of the unknown. Once I really got into it, it wasn't that bad. So now I am feeling better by looking at this...

When headed out to run some much needed errands on Friday I drove past a house having a yard sale. This beauty glowed caught my eye.

I asked how much? Her reply? $5! A steal! I am very excited as it does need a little work, but once we are moved I will be back to sewing!

If you follow me on twitter then you may know that some friends of ours that are stationed in DC decided to come visit! So we had some dinner on Friday night when they got here, went to the beach, and came back to my house to chat and remember our times in Hawaii. This morning we went for some breakfast to say goodbye...for now that is.

Kat's son Chase is just smitten with Firefly he was just flirting all night with her...

Now I am waiting for people to say yes to my stuff on craigslist and just finishing up laundry. Oh and catching up on all of you! Hope you had a great weekend!
P.S. Twitter friends MOONFRUIT!

Please excuse Sparkette's absence as she was...

...hanging out with the family.

Hi everyone!! How is everything going?! I am bound to catch up with ya'll by the end of the day. I promise I won't hit the read all button!

So it was a busy weekend. If you follow me on twitter you may know already that Sparky came in this weekend to get much to do with wedding preparations done. We completed the pre-nuptiual forms (I am taking him for all he's worth people!) Just kidding, just forms that say who we are, when we were baptized and what not. Then Saturday we went to a Engagement Retreat all day, to learn more about each other and some other stuff that comes with marriage. Sparky and I have the same goals and know quite a bit about each other. I guess that comes with talking on the phone for hours on end right?

Lots packed into this short weekend! We did manage to get most of the wedding invites done. I ran out of stamps so that slowed up much of the process. But other then that we are moving right along. We even managed to find shirts for the men of our wedding. I would say all and all a great weekend!

So have no fear I am back in the blogging world for another week or so and then it is on to moving mode! Hope you guys have a great day!

Happy Father's Day!!

Hi everyone. It's been quite the weekend that I didn't expect to have at all. So that makes this post a little more different then I thought it was going to be a week ago. I headed out on Friday to NY and spend this Father's Day with my dad. About an hour into the eight hour trip my van was not 'feeling' the drive. With a very heavy heart and not feeling very comfortable going any farther I turned around and headed back home. So I am home this weekend trying to figure out what is wrong with my van...

In light of that...

That's my dad and I a couple years ago golfing in Hawaii. I appreciate my dad in so many ways. He is a strong, quiet man. He has a knowledge of many things that help me get through the tough times in life. I love him for the love he has for God, for my mom, for us and for his grandchildren. I thank him for the things he has taught me. I am proud to say that he taught me to hunt, fish, fix my car, mow the lawn, golf and to become a good parent (although the 'see I told you that you would go through that when you had kids' doesn't always work for me. Ahem)
Anyway...I love you bibs! I appreciate you and I am still sorry about not making it up this weekend. I hope you have a great day anyway!
I know there aren't many dads that read my blog. But Happy Father's Day to whoever may read this. Have a wonderful day!

Friday Fragments - Is it June already?

Friday Fragments?
Friday Fragments is hosted by Half-Past Kissin Time. She has some pretty good Fragments so go on and take a look at what she has to say. Hey you may even be able to stop by some other pages and read what their Fragments are!

I did do this last night but for some reason it didn't save so now I am trying to remember what I had typed on there!

So since I was on a bit of a bloggy strike this week...kind of okay. I would be remiss if I didn't mention about my parents wedding anniversary. On Wednesday they have been married for 31 years. I am honored to have them as my parents and I look forward to the marriage that I will have with Sparky to last that long and many years past that! So I already wished them one on that day...but what better then a little blog love for my peeps?!

I went an entire week without my crack er, ice tea from Starbucks. Although it was hard to drive by them all week, I did it. But I did get one today. One every couple of weeks isn't to bad. Right? Just say yes my friend, just say yes!

Well I think that is about it for the week. I know you were hoping for some thrilling story from the kids, but they didn't give me much to work with this week! I will have them get right on that! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Family Fun

Let me introduce these great women to you. The left is Patsy and right is Anne. They are Sparky's sisters. They make me laugh and were so excited about Sparky asking me to marry him. I am sure they are just laughing reading the name Sparky. Although, I did not give him that name they think it is hilarious!

So what are they doing? Well Friday night obviously this happened. So Saturday morning we were getting ready to leave and this was the entire family gathering for breakfast, before we left. They worked all night, some of the night Friday to come up with the following:

Top 10 Reasons Anne & Patsy should be Bridesmaids

10. We come equipped with the Bridesmaid emergency kit (aquanet, sewing kit, peach nail polish, etc.)

9. We look great in peach.

8. We wil not fight over the bouquet.

7. We can make our own carnation bouquets.

6. We know the chicken dance, macarena and the electric slide.

5. We think blue eyeliner is perfectly fine for September.

4. Baby's breath is or favorite hair accessory.

3. We know how to fluff trains.

2. We collect dye-able pumps.

1. We are getting low on bobbypins!

We were all laughing! Thanks so much for doing this it was great! I am looking forward to all the wedding planning in the next few months!!

Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day!
I took the above picture on the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor in September 2005. Today. Memorial Day. What does today mean to some? A day off? To some they cry for their lost loves, some cry for those who are away, some enjoy a day with their loved ones and yet for some they scream out in anger for what we as Sailors, Marines, and Soldiers do for our Country.
This morning I watched a little segment on the Today Show about Veterans being able to see the WWII Memorial in Washington, DC. I have seen it. It's an amazing site. But watching those men and women that have gone before me cry over the ones that didn't make it home, makes me cry. Listening to the radio today as people tell their stories, again of lost and not lost family members it makes me hug my children a little tighter.
I am here. I am with my children everyday. I thank God for that opportunity. Although, I do not forget people like my sister and her husband. When he was away a meer 2 weeks after his daughter was born, for 7 months. Nor the Neighba when he leaves a month and a half after his daughter was born. Even my bloggy friend, Jen who is raising her children with her husband gone.
So what am I trying to say? I appreciate those who thank me for what I have done for 12 years. But I thank those Veterans who made our country what it is today. I thank my shipmates, Marines, and soldiers who are over there today. Right now. Defending my freedom, your freedom. A job that is not easy. A job that takes them away. Thank you. Thank you. God Bless you and your family.

Wordful Wednesday

Photobucket
Yep it's that day again. Wordful Wednesday. A day I get to talk and talk and talk some more (sometimes) about my pictures that I take. So if you didn't come over from Angie's place, then head on over there and see what everyone else has to say about their pictures!

Of course you know that we are on vacation. We are in Myrtle Beach. Although the last two days have been silly cold! As Firefly would say..."seriously?" Umm, yeah that word is getting annoying! So back to my pictures. Here is one of the beach today.

Does it not look cold?! Yeah that's what I thought!

This one I love. These kids are Sparky's nieces and of course Firefly and Wire Nut. His family just loves the heck out of the kids. They all get along so well that we rarely hear from them when they play. Since the weather is a little on the BLAH side we are very thankful that there is a indoor pool here at the resort! Although the kids are sitting in the hot tub to warm up because it is even still a little chilly in there!

There ya have it! We are enjoying our week. It's honestly very restful, which is much needed for me! So thanks for stopping by and taking at a look at what I have to share. Have a blessed Wednesday!!

He saves the day...and some other stuff

Oh hi everyone. Yep sorry. Been missing. Here I am, here I am! A very busy weekend here in the Kilowatts household. It started Thursday night with much cleaning to finish before our visitors arrived!
Sparky came first. Arriving about 11:30. Then my parents showed up with my sis the next morning. We spent a great day soaking up the sun in our yard, at the beach, and the park. Then my other sis arrived later that evening with the girls.

Wire Nut, my nephew and middle neighba

Firefly was enjoying some flips at the playground

Saturday the guys went golfing, girls went shopping. I made some great shredded bbq pork from this cookbook. Sunday was church, dinner and everyone left.

This was on Saturday when the boys need to calm down a bit...craft time it is!

Whew. Back to why Sparky saved the day. He brought me his laptop that he just got and took the Mac to see if there was any saving left to do of it. So I am back at it. I know you have missed me. I am trying to catch up on all ya'll. Although I do appreciate Neighba in loaning me her computer when she wasn't using it.

I will leave ya with a picture of Sparky and Sparkette...self portrait. It was great to see him again and can't wait for May 15th!! Counting the days already! I do have some Easter pictures...have to edit them then I will post. But I have enjoyed looking at all of yours! So thanks for sharing!!!
