Catch up = Been tired so haven't blogged

Hi all! Hope this post finds you well. I will tell you first of all that's amazing when you don't have computer in your eye sight how much you don't really get on it. That's the case here. As well as some pregnancy flat out tiredness! So here I am to catch up and get to you what was promised!

A picture of our little boy! Which by the way we have decided on his name to be Breaker here at Our Lil Kilowatts. Thanks to my Dad who came up with that one.

The ultrasound tech even gave us the 4D pictures. I have always heard that they were pretty creepy. Although I really don't find this that creepy.I did "need" to do a little shopping this week to find next winter items for Breaker. Off season shopping is the best thing to do! But I just couldn't resist when I found this outfit...

I have decided that this should be his coming home from the hospital outfit. I can't even resist it! Sparky and Firefly totally agree with me!

Firefly and Wire Nut are enjoying a different space in our home these days. Although we are enjoying 40 degree weather here in the Cheese State...it's not enough to get rid of all this snow yet! So Sparky recently "semi" finished their room in the basement.
We purchased some airplane seats (first class, of course) and for right now that is their place of choice to color, read, play with play doh and whatnots! Sparky put in a tv, their air hockey table and some mats to run around on. Right now this is temporary because come later in the spring we will have to re-cement in the basement due to the leaks. But for now we are loving it!

So that's what is going on around here. The weekend has arrived and hopefully I can get motivated enough to clean up this house a little more and maybe even my van since this 40 degree weather is going to stick around! I am also busy at hand finishing up my Catechism classes for me to be confirmed on Holy Saturday. Until next time...which shouldn't be a week and a half. Have a wonderful weekend!

A Lesson

As I mentioned, I have been watching the Olympics with my family and really enjoying it. But I really thought about it last night when we watched a interview with Evan Lysacek. They talked to him about taking the gold and the Russian taking silver. The attitude that Evan Lysacek has compared to the Russian, really made me talk to Firefly about good sportsmanship. She doesn't do well when it comes to losing a game, matter of fact she gets pretty ugly. I hope that it's a lesson that sinks in a bit.

So to Evan and many others that I am watching in these Olympics I truly commend them for their behavior, weather they win or lose.

Oh Lordy she is 10!!

Goodness. I am shocked fer sure! It's amazing how fast they grow isn't it? Tonight we are having her favorite for dinner. Kahlua Pig and Rice (the girl loved Hawaii and still does). I even made a little cake and decorated with multi-colored frosting (pics coming later). I am off to enjoy my not so little girl!!

2009 and some other things...

Wow. I have let the last few days whiz past! Honestly, I have been enjoying some catch up time and trying to fight this little sinus cold thing I have going on.

2009 came and went. This year has started very different then previous. I am used to thinking about all that is to be worked on at work. Now I am getting my brain ready for school and studying for an advancement exam.

I was very blessed in 2009. Engaged, married, moving, being with our children, meeting new people, trying new things.... The list is keeps going.

We brought in our New Year with a couple of parties. Wire Nut was pretty hyped up that evening. He kept asking..."Is this where the party's at?" Our last destination was Sparky's sister and her family. The kids made hats...

We even spent our day ice skating! Although I worried that Firefly wasn't enjoying herself. I was skating around and that girl was on my heels telling me to slow down! She was sooo worried about her mama and baby sibling. So I got off the ice to let her enjoy. Shame on me that I forgot my camera.

Wire Nut...he seriously lives up to that name more and more everyday. So don't know if you have heard it... There is a country song, Big Green Tractor by Jason Aldean. Wire Nut knows the main part..."...take you for a ride on my Big Green Tractor..." The boy cracks me up. He only knows some words to a few songs, but he loves em. Obviously, he has noooo clue what the words mean. Okay, okay getting to why I am telling you this. He was singing that part the other day and this is why and what I found....

With that I am headed to bed. Tomorrow more pictures. One of the belly. Last day of vacation for the kids and it's back to school!! Yeehaw!! Hope you had a wonderful New Years...looking forward to catching up on ya'll!

Just took this picture of Firefly. The other night after her shower I braided her hair. She wore the braid all day yesterday and took it out this morning. Here's what she looks like now.

Friday Fragments

Wee hoo it's Friday!! What's that? How many more days? 14 thankyouverymuch! Friday Fragments is a little diddy of Half-Past Kissin Time it's where you can unload that brain of yours into one little (or not) post!

So yesterday morning I had to encounter something I hadn't really expected. Firefly kind of lost it this morning. She was sobbing! For the first time in her 9 years of life she is having to deal with the fact that she is moving. Yes she has been involved with the move process approx 7 times in her life. But this time is different. So she is sad that she has to leave her friends. I was kind of at a loss because I didn't know what to tell her to make it better. But hopefully after we move and she settles down we will be good to go again!

So I told ya'll I was packing. The kids they brought friends in to play the other day. But they then realized that I packed all of their toys already. Whoops. Didn't really mean to do that, but I was just in that mode ya know?

I am honestly waaaaayyyy tired of Michael Jackson taking up the tv. Yes I am sad for his family, because losing a family member is not easy. But I am tired of it.

I have started to read the Twilight series. On account of the Neighba. So my question to you is...do you think I should have watched the movie, then read the book? Or read the book then watch the movie? Let me know! Inquiring minds want to know!!

On the craigslist front I have managed to sell all big items in my house! Yes I am excited! All that stuff will be departing my house next week and then here I come Wii!!

That's it for this week. I am slowly quickly being replaced at work and boy does it feel great. Although I have some things to finish...I can honestly say that I haven't felt this great in years!! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!

Wordful Wednesday

Hi everyone. It's Wordful Wednesday again. I know, I know. I have been quite wordy and picture crazy in my last few post...but eh.

I don't really want to be wordy today. Biggest thing I have to say is my little girl isn't so little anymore. I can't believe how much she is growing! She is all about me taking this picture below. Although it is SOOC, I am going to play with the background a bit and maybe get rid of some of the fuzz on the picture. I can't wait to get a nice camera to take better pictures of this growing girl!

Two Years Ago

The other day Sneaky Momma posted a similar post about a picture from two years ago. Plus a little bit about what she was doing two years ago. At first I really know what I was doing two years ago. I was at a very tough point in my life. Our lives that is. But I tried to make the best of all situations.

Although this isn't exactly to the day...it is in June of two years ago. I took Firefly to the ice skating rink down the road from us. We lived in Hawaii so you had to do something to make yourself a little cold around there!!! :)

Let me show you some pictures...

Here is Firefly (with some teeth missin!) With her is Sarah and Casie. They were our neighbors in Hawaii. Boy do we miss them!! They are the youngest two children of 4 girls. These two are Wire Nut's girlfriends. For life! LOL! Anyway they were just giving Firefly some luvins!

Firefly was skating around like a fiend! As you can see though she was falling too :) She kept telling me that she was sweating so she had to take off the sweater... I guess that's what you get for having a ice skating rink in Hawaii!

So that's where we were two years ago. My little girl has grown quite a bit that is for sure! She is getting much taller and has become a young lady. Won't you take part? I am curious what you or your famiy was doing two years ago.

Friday Fragments

Hi everyone! Yep it’s Friday. That means I am collecting what I have had to say in one little post. I really keep forgetting to write these down and then I rake my brain trying to figure it out. So anywho…if you didn’t come over from Half-Past Kissin’ Time, go over and take a look at the other Friday Fragment posts.

Okay it’s Friday. Yard sale weekend. I am hoping that I can get rid of some stuff for good prices tomorrow. I wouldn’t mind makin’ a couple extra moolahs!

I have to tell you this. Sorry people I don’t make this stuff up. I really don’t know where I would be if my kids didn’t give me something to blog about. This morning, I just got out of the shower and Firefly walked into my room with a concerned look on her face.

Me: What’s up kid? Good morning!
Firefly: Is it normal for corn to come out the other end?
Me: (Seriously busting a gut!) Umm, yeah it’s okay.
Firefly: What?! Don’t laugh at me!!
Me: Sorry. (Trying to compose myself) Go get dressed you will live to make some more entertainment tomorrow!

Sorry if that was a little graphic. But I tell you I could not resist!!! She is so going to kill me when she grows up and finds these!

I went to the Dr. today. No worries, just routine getting out of the Navy stuff. I really thought I was up to date on everything but my tetnis shot. Notsomuch! Yeah, 4 shots later I am fighting the knots in my arms right now. Better yet the doc didn’t even see me because they booked me for the wrong appt! Don’t they know how hard it is for me to show up on time for these things? Crud!

Wow, I honestly had something the other day and it has completely escaped my brain! Seriously! Anyway. Sounds like I have quite the day just today alone! Oh well. Such is life for us! Have a great weekend everyone. I will back to hopefully report good stuff about the yard sale!

Alphabitty Moments - Letter O

Hi there. Better late then neva! I spent time on the phone last night with my friend Elizabeth. She is pretty great and she is pregnant with baby number two! It's funny how we follow each other's blogs we forget to call people. I find myself doing that alot with my IRL friends. I will work on that friends!

So I am back at it tonight feeling a little on the hiatus side from the blog. Carrie over at her campground hosts this little carnival and I really do look forward to it...I am already thinking about next weeks letter!

Getting to it. This week I had a hard time coming up with the letter O. But what better then the ocean?! Here it is! The ocean has been ever present in our lives for the better part of 5 years now! Soon enough we won't be near the ocean anymore...so I will take these memories anyday!

Firefly has a big collection of shells. She loves them, big and small she collects them all! Wire Nut he just chills out in the water and like to bury himself in the sand! Ah boys.

Not Me! Monday

Oh goodness what didn't I do this last week?!

I have not spent hours every night trying to figure out what the groomsmen will wear, only to really realize I needed to figure out what the girls were wearing first! Whoops!

Saturday, even though it was a beautiful day I did not sit on the couch most of the afternoon enjoying the children playing outside whilest I vegged.

Firefly does not have sun poisoning in the version of itchy bumps all over her. She is not thankful for benedryl and cream that makes the itching stop. Although she was not in the least bit mad that I cut her nails so as not to itch her skin raw.

But on the other hand she is not SUPER EXCITED that she has a dress for the wedding that looks like mine!!

Wire Nut is not starting to catch me on my little threats when they make no sense. Nope, he is not catching on to that nor do I have to take another plan of action.

I am not getting married to the most wonderful man in 89 days.

That's what I have this week. There are many more things I did...like not eating pork three meals in a row or something silly like that. But eh...what I say! Thanks for stopping by. I am off to try and stay awake for the rest of the day!

Friday Fragments

First of all thank you Mrs. 4444 for this honor a couple of weeks ago (see told ya I was behind)

- Sparky and I were sitting on the couch last week just relaxing for a bit. The kiddos were in their room having quiet time. It was quiet alright, until the following went down.

Firefly: Wire Nut you stink!!

Wire Nut: Duh, I went poop!

Firefly: Did you wipe? (Ah this girl listens to me!)

Wire Nut: Uh yeah.

Firefly: Let me check, (btw I thought she was going to see if TP was in the T!) TOUCH YOUR TOES! (Yes that’s what she said) No you didn’t wipe good enough!!

Sparky & Sparkette: OH MY GAWSH LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY!! Where does that kid come up with this stuff!!

God love her! She cracks us up!

- Wedding planning is honestly not as easy as I thought it was going to be. Even for a simple wedding! Geez!

- Over at Lulaville this week she pointed us to Awkward Family Photos blog. Although yes this site is pretty funny with most of the pictures. This one had me in tears!!

Wordful Wednesday

Yep it's that day again. Wordful Wednesday. A day I get to talk and talk and talk some more (sometimes) about my pictures that I take. So if you didn't come over from Angie's place, then head on over there and see what everyone else has to say about their pictures!

Of course you know that we are on vacation. We are in Myrtle Beach. Although the last two days have been silly cold! As Firefly would say..."seriously?" Umm, yeah that word is getting annoying! So back to my pictures. Here is one of the beach today.

This one I love. These kids are Sparky's nieces and of course Firefly and Wire Nut. His family just loves the heck out of the kids. They all get along so well that we rarely hear from them when they play. Since the weather is a little on the BLAH side we are very thankful that there is a indoor pool here at the resort! Although the kids are sitting in the hot tub to warm up because it is even still a little chilly in there!

Alphabitty Moments - J

This one was easy! Hands down I knew what I was doing for J two weeks ago. It's a favorite thing to do for Firefly. She does it inside, outside whenever she can. Even if it means hitting your brother a bunch of times because he doesn't get out of the way. (Nah that doesn't happen here in the Kilowatt household, pssht.)

Anywho...without further adieu (I just really wanted to say that word):

J is for Jump Rope! We litterally have 10 of these in our house right now. No I am not exaggerating, she really does. I would like to get her doing double dutch. Nope, I don't know how. I just thought it was cool on the movie Jump In! so I could try it, can't I? Thanks Disney for making me feel like I can do that stuff! I am only turning 30 sis...stop being a sassafrass!

Eh...nothing really...

I kind of realized the other day that I post for a bunch of meme's...but don't talk much about what is going on.

So here ya go.

Firefly came home the other day jumping or joy because she got HONOR ROLL again! This kid is rockin it out. I am super proud of her. She had gotten down to a C in Science (which bummed her out) but she did get the grade back up and she is happy! Wire Nut is doing better in all his subjects as well as he is starting to read and write better throughout the year.

Since the both of them did so well I took them to the Disney Store the other day and they got new beach towels. Myrtle Beach is a few weeks away and they are excited to get down there and have some fun! Now with a new Camp Rock and Wall E towel.

On Saturday both of them had games at the same time. They agreed to let me watch his game first half then her the second half. Well Wire Nut was playing while I was watching Firefly. When Wire Nut was done with his game his coach came to tell me that he made a goal. (Oh sorry we are talking soccer here... GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL!!! HA HA) Moving on. I was super excited. Wanna know how he made the goal? Sure why not?

That's right...off his head! Let me set this up for you. As you may know that he does not pay attention very much. Well I guess he was a chattin with a friend of his and someone kicked the ball out, well it hit him in the head! Yep the ball bounced off his noggin and GOOOOOOAAAAAAL!!! Oh I cried I laughed so hard! That is the funniest thing I have ever heard and I was even more bummed that I missed it! I tell people all the time...kids, they are cheap entertainment!

Okay, okay let's get back to calm now...thanks to Wire Nut's expense. My page is coming up on a bunch of milestones! I am pretty excited. I love blogging and meeting all of you that come over to my page! I am coming up on a 200th post! I am pretty close to hitting 5000 hits! Last but not least I am TURNING 30! Wee hoo. Since it will be my birthday. I am all bout birthdays...specially mine! Guess what? A giveaway?! Yep you got that right! I will be giving a gift to ya'll. Wordful Wednesday

Hi there! Yeah I know it's another post with a picture. Two in a row. I was just to lazy the other day to post. So here they are two in a row. Forgive me friend.

Anywho. Another week of Wordful Wednesday. This last weekend was beautiful. I was excited about the kids soccer games. Taking their pictures. I can't believe how big they are getting.

But on Saturday they busted out their kites. No there was barely a lick of wind. But hey...if they want to play outside and that is what will entertain them. More. Power. To. Em! Although I will say after catching them in the tree for like the one millionth (okay not that much) time I said no mo!

Wire Nut. Well the kid is a little on the crazy side an his kite would not stay up in the air...although here is a picture of him with success.

Firefly on the other hand was rocking it out! What little wind there was, she would find it and keep that kite up there for as long as she could. Which btw means the tree or her brother. Yeah it's quite the comedy act if you ask me!

Soccer Begins

Hi everyone! Today was a beautiful day! What a great day to start soccer. This morning Firefly had her game early. Then Wire Nut followed up right after.

Firefly was pretty bummed out because all of her team did not show up. So not only did she not get a snack afterwards. (Yes this is our drama!) She was pretty worn out at the end of the game. I enjoyed watching her because I could tell that she was pretty proud this her second time and she knows what she is doin! Here are a couple of her pictures of her and the team at work!

Here is the boy. Man was I impressed with this kid. Compared to the basketball season. He was really into this. Everytime he got the ball he threw his hands up in the air at the end of the play and just looked at me :) I didn't get any of those on camera...but here he is in action. Yes we still had "BOOHOO PAY ATTENTION" moments ;)

Then we got home and I wanted to get a picture of them together with their jerseys on. Look at her puffing out her chest...I didn't realize till I was going through the pictures tonight. This was the best one out of the bunch. You really can't win when it comes to more then one kid can ya?! HA HA!

Okay I am off to bed. There is nothing on TV and I can not bear to subject myself to this stuff that I see on my tv right now. Thanks for stopping by!
