Friday Fragments - Feb 19

I will start this by saying, my absence is only because I am home and enjoying the loving of my family! I came home Tuesday and have been catching up around the house.

I enjoyed the time that I spent with my parents, sister and her family. It was great seeing them. Although my 1yr old niece was not really having me hang out around her...see...
That's a look of death people...that is "get away or I will kick your butt!" I obliged. Sometimes. HA!

There is a half of a cow in my freezer downstairs. Holy geez that's alot of beef people! Let me know if you have a fave beef recipe. Don't worry, you name it I am sure we have it in some form down there!

The Olympic fever has been caught in our house. Who knew a 10 and 6 year old would enjoy it so much! They are making me enjoy it more! Firefly even had to pick a favorite and do a mini report on the person she picked. She decided on Gretchen Bleiler. Although she did lose last night, she was still proud to do a report on her.

Friday Fragments - Feb 12

Another Friday. Which means a post of all the little things I have to say in one little post. Who hosts this little ditty you might ask? Well that would be Mrs. 4444's over at Half-Past Kissin' Time.

First of all, I do realize that I have been talking about snow incessantly...but I just had to show ya'll this. This is what some hotel prisoners peeps created during Round 2 of the storm Wednesday night. I was pretty impressed by his height and roundness.

I mentioned the other night that Baby Watt wanted ice cream. So down to the machine I went. This is what I got.


I looked at the machine and thought GIANT ice cream sandwich. Can we say notsomuch. That thing was the same size with just a little more ice cream then a regular sandwich. GASP you say! I know scandalous and should just be illegal!

I ventured out yesterday and had breakfast at a chain restaurant. Word to the wise...don't eat someplace the day after a two day snow in. Not good, not good at all.

Had to take a room temp shower this morning. Way fun at 5 am! That'll wake a girl up!

Well today I get to work! So I am pretty excited to get out. Then I am off to Delaware to visit my parents and my sister's family!

Friday Fragments - DC Edition

Ga mornin all! It's Friday! Some of you may know what that means. If you don't then you should head on over to Half-Past Kissin' Time and find out what it's about!

Have you heard about all the snow that DC is about to be hit with?! Yeah here the East coast was getting nice weather two weeks ago, I thought I was set coming here! Notsomuch.

Sparky and the kidlings sent me some flowers to my hotel room yesterday. I think they love and miss me. I know I sure do!

When I flew here on Sunday evening, I was beginning to think I didn't belong here. My rental car was not available at 10:30 pm (they closed at 9:00.) Monday morning when I woke up and was getting my uniform ready to work, I realized that my wonderful pregnant brain FORGOT all my hats, ribbons and accoutrements on the plane. UGH! I have been calling all over creation and they finally called me back Wednesday night to say they had it!! WEEHOOO!!!

I am getting pretty excited about another week of work and then I get to see most of my family in Dover!

My belly is growing, which means baby is as well. I am feeling more and more movement as the days go by! Our appointment is scheduled for March 1st to find out what we are having!

Okay I will sign off for now...need to read some of your Friday Fragments. I have the entire weekend to do so!

Friday Fragments - Still alive...

Just a little on the lazy side when it comes to blogging. All is well around the Kilowatt household. We had a Dr appt the other day to check on Baby Watt and all was well. Firefly and Wire Nut didn't have school on Monday, so they had the opportunity to hear Baby Watt's heartbeat. Although everytime I go to the Dr Wire Nut thinks I am "getting the baby out." We have got lots of cooking to do we tell him.

Anyway. Other then being on the lazy side, I have been getting ready to head to Washington, DC for Navy business for two weeks. Many things to finish before I leave for what may be a month.

This afternoon I was vacuuming the living room. I looked at the vacuum and decided that it was dusty and it needed to be vacuumed. Laughed at myself for sure.

You remember our Neighba's? She sent me a card this week. She work's at Hallmark (love that place!) and I just cracked up.
Lots of projects in the works lately. I will be posting those soon.

Okay I am off to finish my kiddos Valentines (I won't be here and must get them done.) Have a great day!!

Friday Fragments

Oh I soooo know I owe ya'll a picture of my special lights outside our house. I keep forgetting. It's a disease I have. Forgetting that is. I will work on that.

Next. Pretty excited about last night. My husband and I are finally going on our Honeymoon next month. I can't wait! We decided not to kill ourselves by going to someplace hot. I know, I live in Wisconsin, what is wrong with me? Well I just didn't feel like traveling and having jet lag and all that whatnot. So we are going to head up north of us for a 5 days in a room with a big ol tub, a fireplace and yes a waterpark indoors. Who said we have to take the kids to the waterpark. NO WAY! (Insert evil laugh)



Loving the heck out of my husband this week. Instead of last week. Just kidding. He came home the other night after shopping with his mom and he brought me this...

I am making my sister a apron for Christmas. She knows about it don't worry. I really have to get back into sewing. It's fun believe me. I have made a little something for almost everyone this year. Anywho...back to the apron. I am putting double folded 1/4' bias tape on it. I called my mom and talked to my mother in law about it. They both feel bout the same as I feel right now. Grr. Love ya Sis! It's all a learning process that's all :)

Friday Fragments

Friday Fragments is brought to you by Mrs. 4444 at Half-Past Kissin Time. A post of all the mumble jumble goin on in your head, or well goin on in my head in this case.

Yesterday it started snowing middle part of the day. I was pretty excited. Yes, I know...I am weird. But I think it is just so darn beautiful! Funny though, all afternoon all I could think about was my kids looking out their windows at school thinking the same.

We received our first Christmas card on Wednesday. I haven't even started mine. That stresses me out a bit!

I am a little weirded out about the fact that my belly is growing, but my butt and thighs are shrinking. Odd. All the more reason to eat more Starbursts.

My kiddos received their first report card for this school. I throughly feel like I need to go to a class to figure out what the heck it means. We were doing letter grades last year and now we are back to C's, U's and whatnot.

Here are a couple of pictures of Sparky and Firefly. They put up Christmas lights this last week. Although on the garage we decided on a little bit of advertisement. Firefly had a blast helping out her dad and he really appreciated having some extra hands! I will get a picture tonight of the "advertisement."

That's all I have! I need to get to going on those Christmas cards as previously mentioned...

Friday Fragments

**Update** For those of you who read this earlier, I apologize for my blatant (that was a test) errors and not doing spellcheck. Glad you could still understand what I was getting out!

Hiya friends! It's Friday Fragments day. Hosted by my friend Mrs. 4444 at Half-Past Kissin' Time. A sort of blurb of all that is on your mind that you didn't want to put into one post. Since I really haven't figured out how to get blogging done every morning...I will put it in this one. Next week...I am going to make a schedule for myself and see if I can keep to it. Okay now that I am making threats on myself I am moving right along.

So I don't mind living in the country at all. Matter-o-fact I am enjoying it. But the other day as a family we were playing catch outside, my slippahs (a.k.a. sandals) were getting in the way. When you play with a 5 year old, wear tennis shoes. Well these great slippahs were left in the yard...
But now this little guy is going to be quite the talk around the woods this year.

So Firefly went out the next morning to play around outdoors and she saw that only one sandal was in the yard. She came in to tell Dad that someone must've taken my other slippah!

I am working on a Pirate Birthday party. That's what Wire Nut wants for his birthday. I have so ideas a goin... We will have a treasure hunt! Good thing his birthday is around Halloween because the Dollar Store is going to be making some money off of me!

I am a little sad that Starbucks has le me down. They no longer are going to carry Energy that I oh so love to put in my Black Tea.

Friday Fragments - What am I doing?!

Hello there. I would say that I have been busy, but I really haven't been. All best intentions to keep my blog up. Starting a new thing next week. A schedule for myself of sorts. But Friday Fragments...a good way to catch up a bit. You know them? Mrs. 4444 over at Half-Past Kissin Time hosts it. I just read about some from last week...wow they were pretty good!


First of all I am out shopping right now. Christmas shopping...at the outlets. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are taking me. I am very excited...hope I get some good deals!


This week we took the kids to their very first baseball game! They were very excited. We stopped at Kohl's and bought them their own Brewer's shirts because they needed to match Dad and Mom! Here they are in front of the field...

So this picture...Sparky and I had a good laugh about. As you can see we are pretty far up. Well who am I kidding...we were near the roof. But eh, what can you do when you get free seats? Well apprently no one told the kids in front of us how high we were sitting...
Poor kids.... Although Firefly felt the need to ask if she would be able to catch a ball...I told her she probably wouldn't be able because we forgot our gloves at home. Sorry couldn't resist.

Our house is becoming more organized by the day. Sparky can't find a thing in the house...but hey I am feeling great about it!

Speaking of Sparky...some of you may know that he fell at work and rolled his ankle really bad. Two days after the wedding... Anywho...he is doing better, although it is still sore to walk on and he is in a boot today. May take awhile to get better, it seems.

Lastly, I will not go without saying that I appreciate all those still defending Our Freedom in our world. It's not an easy task to be away from family...I pray for you and yours.

Friday Fragments - Visconsin Wisconsin here we come!

HI EVERYONE!!

My data dump for the end of the week and the weekend to come. That's what a Friday Fragment is! Hosted by Half-Past Kissin Time. Check her out, or well her page.

Visconsin, is what Wire Nut calls our new home state. We are done with everything here and ready to hit the road.

We passed our house inspection with flying colors. So we said BYE house... But with saying goodbye to the house we had to say goodbye to the Neighbas.

Great Neighbas. We love them dearly, and will miss them. I myself appreciate all that they have done for me in the last year and a half. We went to dinner tonight and said our Goodbyes. Or well see ya lata's!

The van and the trailor are STUFFED!! Sparky has got some skills when it comes to packing. Yes all him. I didn't get involved. I was afraid. I forgot to take a picture of that. Just take my word for it!

So what better then to travel then to have a Navigator. Meet Visconsin the Navigator. He is our new friend.

Got this little guy from the cable company. They crack me up on the commercial's! So he needed a big "W" for our trip.

So there you have it. We will be on the road at 9:00 am this morning! We will arrive home Sunday afternoon!

Friday Fragments

Wee hoo it's Friday!! What's that? How many more days? 14 thankyouverymuch! Friday Fragments is a little diddy of Half-Past Kissin Time it's where you can unload that brain of yours into one little (or not) post!

So yesterday morning I had to encounter something I hadn't really expected. Firefly kind of lost it this morning. She was sobbing! For the first time in her 9 years of life she is having to deal with the fact that she is moving. Yes she has been involved with the move process approx 7 times in her life. But this time is different. So she is sad that she has to leave her friends. I was kind of at a loss because I didn't know what to tell her to make it better. But hopefully after we move and she settles down we will be good to go again!

So I told ya'll I was packing. The kids they brought friends in to play the other day. But they then realized that I packed all of their toys already. Whoops. Didn't really mean to do that, but I was just in that mode ya know?

I am honestly waaaaayyyy tired of Michael Jackson taking up the tv. Yes I am sad for his family, because losing a family member is not easy. But I am tired of it.

I have started to read the Twilight series. On account of the Neighba. So my question to you is...do you think I should have watched the movie, then read the book? Or read the book then watch the movie? Let me know! Inquiring minds want to know!!

On the craigslist front I have managed to sell all big items in my house! Yes I am excited! All that stuff will be departing my house next week and then here I come Wii!!

That's it for this week. I am slowly quickly being replaced at work and boy does it feel great. Although I have some things to finish...I can honestly say that I haven't felt this great in years!! Have a WONDERFUL weekend!!

So this week has been quite the week. I am going to unload a little.

The van as discussed in my Father's Day post was finally able to get in this week. Well I took it in last week, but they didn't have any parts to do the work. When the parts finally came it the final total was $250...but they really wanted to do $2700 of work. Yep. Bumma on many levels of planning a wedding, moving and driving said van to WI. Grr.

Because of the goober van, we didn't get to go visit our friends C.C. and D.T. this weekend as we have planned for two months.

Re-posted stuff on craigslist last night really hope that I will get some bites on stuff. It would make the moving process SOOOOO much easier!

Wedding invites are sitting on my desk waiting to go out. Frustrating, but our location is possibly changing and I have to wait to send. Again, Grr.

Even though we won't be leaving to visit C.C. and D.T. this weekend, unexpectedly my friend called from DC and said that she and her husband would be coming to visit for the weekend. We used to work and live next to each other when we lived in Hawaii.

Anyway...as I said...lots to say, so if you got this far, thanks for putting up with my whiny butt! Hope you guys have a wonderful 4th of July as we celebrate the 233rd Birthday of our country. I am off to work on a shirt for the kiddos to wear tomorrow!

Friday Fragments

Hi everyone! Yep it’s Friday. That means I am collecting what I have had to say in one little post. I really keep forgetting to write these down and then I rake my brain trying to figure it out. Okay it’s Friday. Yard sale weekend. I am hoping that I can get rid of some stuff for good prices tomorrow. I wouldn’t mind makin’ a couple extra moolahs!

I have to tell you this. Sorry people I don’t make this stuff up. I really don’t know where I would be if my kids didn’t give me something to blog about. This morning, I just got out of the shower and Firefly walked into my room with a concerned look on her face.

Me: What’s up kid? Good morning!
Firefly: Is it normal for corn to come out the other end?
Me: (Seriously busting a gut!) Umm, yeah it’s okay.
Firefly: What?! Don’t laugh at me!!
Me: Sorry. (Trying to compose myself) Go get dressed you will live to make some more entertainment tomorrow!

Sorry if that was a little graphic. But I tell you I could not resist!!! She is so going to kill me when she grows up and finds these!

I went to the Dr. today. No worries, just routine getting out of the Navy stuff. I really thought I was up to date on everything but my tetnis shot. Notsomuch! Yeah, 4 shots later I am fighting the knots in my arms right now. Better yet the doc didn’t even see me because they booked me for the wrong appt! Don’t they know how hard it is for me to show up on time for these things? Crud!

Wow, I honestly had something the other day and it has completely escaped my brain! Seriously! Anyway. Sounds like I have quite the day just today alone! Oh well. Such is life for us! Have a great weekend everyone. I will back to hopefully report good stuff about the yard sale!

I did do this last night but for some reason it didn't save so now I am trying to remember what I had typed on there!

So since I was on a bit of a bloggy strike this week...kind of okay. I would be remiss if I didn't mention about my parents wedding anniversary. On Wednesday they have been married for 31 years. I am honored to have them as my parents and I look forward to the marriage that I will have with Sparky to last that long and many years past that! So I already wished them one on that day...but what better then a little blog love for my peeps?!

I went an entire week without my crack er, ice tea from Starbucks. Although it was hard to drive by them all week, I did it. But I did get one today. One every couple of weeks isn't to bad. Right? Just say yes my friend, just say yes!

Well I think that is about it for the week. I know you were hoping for some thrilling story from the kids, but they didn't give me much to work with this week! I will have them get right on that! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!

Friday Fragments

First of all thank you Mrs. 4444 for this honor a couple of weeks ago (see told ya I was behind)

- Sparky and I were sitting on the couch last week just relaxing for a bit. The kiddos were in their room having quiet time. It was quiet alright, until the following went down.

Firefly: Wire Nut you stink!!

Wire Nut: Duh, I went poop!

Firefly: Did you wipe? (Ah this girl listens to me!)

Wire Nut: Uh yeah.

Firefly: Let me check, (btw I thought she was going to see if TP was in the T!) TOUCH YOUR TOES! (Yes that’s what she said) No you didn’t wipe good enough!!

Sparky & Sparkette: OH MY GAWSH LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY!! Where does that kid come up with this stuff!!

God love her! She cracks us up!

- Wedding planning is honestly not as easy as I thought it was going to be. Even for a simple wedding! Geez!

- Over at Lulaville this week she pointed us to Awkward Family Photos blog. Although yes this site is pretty funny with most of the pictures. This one had me in tears!!

Yep it's Friday. Yep I am jumping out of my skin for excitement of this weekend and next week. Sparky gets here tonight and I couldn't be more happier. On with it you say?! Okay here we go.

Please expain something to me. I am not quite understanding it... I sit in an office that I can see everyone. Yep. So why when you want something printed must you take the time to email me (type in my name) then tell me to print? Why? It bugs me. I don't get it. How bout you?

Can you say "Tired of hearing about Miss. California." Holy toledo the poor girl. I will admit the fact that the idea of a beauty pagent to me is sooooo way off base with what has happened recently. I don't get their motives. The way it looks to me is that they just have to change people to their likings and that's it. Sad. Very sad.

Biggest Loser. I. LOVE. IT. But I was a little disappointed in the winner. No. More power to the 48 year old that won. (sorry if you haven't watched it yet) But 117 lbs. SERIOUSLY!? No I am not jealous. Lord knows if I weighed that much, you guys would have me instituted. Or my mother would be down here throwing food down my throat!! But anyway...the other thing disturbing to me...THE "TANS" they had. Didn't it look just a little odd? What's that you didn't see it? Here ya go. Not right. 'Nough said.

Then I will leave you with this. This little girl is the sweetest. She is my Neighba's middle girl and she just cracks me up! I had to show everyone at work what she says when she says goodbye to me. So here ya go...

**Waking up to "Come find me, I'm over here!" at 3:30 in the morning can be a little scary. These little guys were cute on Easter. Now. Notsomuch!

** I have talked of Biggest Loser before. It's a good show. The darn thing makes me cry all the time at their achievements. But I will tell you this last Tuesday...Ron finishing a marathon even though his body told him not too was pretty intense!! Wow!!

** This is my new crack ice tea holder. Can we say "I. LOVE. STARBUCKS!" (As said the way Carlos Mencia would say it...)

** One week from today Sparky will be here and we are headed to Myrtle Beach two days later. I can not wait for a vacation. Not only will I be on vacation but his entire family will be down there and we all will enjoy the week together!

** Went to the doctor for my annual big girl appointment (as said by Lula). I was kind of feeling spicy it being my birthday week and all. Yes I am that obbsessed. Soooo, when the nurse was asking my medical history it went down like this...

Nurse: blah, blah, blah...any history of STD's?

Me: No way...but sometimes I call my ex-husband one.

Nurse: (insert cricket noise here)

Me: Oh, sorry you must be dating him.

Nurse: Any history of breast cancer?

Seriously people I don't make this stuff up. I am still laughing at myself, cuz I thought it was darn funny!

Soooo... On Tuesday Firefly and Wire Nut both have practice for soccer. At the same time. This really doesn't bother me because I watch them both at the same time. After practice though Wire Nut tells me. "Mama, I made a goal, but not with my head! I did it with my foots." Noted, "Good job son!" (Had a good laugh with that one!)

The other day I was doing my hair in the morning...the below popped out of somewhere. I will tell you we get them around here but I see very few a year in my house. I am not a freak when it comes to them...I squish, I flush. Well this one gave me a battle! I smooshked the darn thing in half and it was still GOIN! It all ended well though. I flushed him. Thank you very much.

When I called the office to talk about getting my move set up for this summer, I asked what the fees and so on were. She told me she didn't know. I had to go to the class. She told me that they only know when they are in the class. Outside of the class, well I will be nice and just move on from that one.

I bought Bride Wars last night. Can't wait to watch it this weekend. I will let you know!

Friday Fragments Part Deux

Friday Fragments is a little ditty made by Half-Past Kissin' Time.

Why do I go to the grocery store and buy snacks when the Easter Bunny just brought all kinds of junk? Can we say stuffing my face?!

I have literally hit my head on my desk because I fell asleep on more then one occaision this week.

Where is spring? I know you all are wondering the same thing. Global warming my, oh sorry I won't say that.

My co-worker told me about teenagers doing a new thing to get high and drunk. I don't remember what she said bout the getting high thing. But I do remember the getting drunk thing. They are using tampons (yep) soaking up alcohol and putting in their hoo-hahs and behinds. Yep you read that right. That apparently gets them drunk faster! Scary.

Friday Fragments - First Try

This is a new one to me. Although my friend Blueviolet is rocking it out every week. I kind of like it because it allows me to let you know what's going on in this brain of mine. So here goes!

It's Pizza Friday with the Neighba's and I can't wait to chill out for a couple of hours. I may even take part in a glass of wine tonight! Weehoo! Get it ready Neighba!

I am very excited about getting to meet C.C. and D.T. this weekend. New friends are always great!

Our old friends are good to have around too : ) This guy just returned last week from a seven month deployment and his wife is throwing him a welcome home party.

I probably have 8 loads of laundry hiding in my kids rooms and I am very afraid to go look in there to verify that it all comes out.

My family is coming next week and my toliets. Well they need to be cleaned and I don't wanna do it. Yuck.
