First of all I would like to say just as a follow-up... I am happy to say that I was randomly picked to win the January Monthly Round-Up over at Org Junkie's Page. If you didn't get to see my final product...go take a look!

So last week I decided that I would take on revamping my blog. Since I have my "own" page now. But...that didn't happen. I was a little lazy every night this week. As you can see the only thing I completed was the top for the month of February. I would say that I am going to complete it this week, but I highly doubt it. So this week something I know I am going to be focused on, (other then going to see Mark in 7 days :) see lost my focus already.

Back to it... The kids will be working on their "Valentimes" made. I am finishing up a little project of Valentines from Mark and I and also need to pack for the weekend. So we will see if I can get some revamping of the blog worked into my nights that I am not doing those things.

Filing Cabinet Round-Up!

Okay here it is. My filing cabinet round up. Since last week I got my approval to get out of the Navy in August, my biggest thing to do around this house is to get everything organized in order to move. We will move to WI and I want to make sure I don't have extra stuff!

Anywho...here is what it looked like before...

This is my filing cabinet and all the papers I have not organized. I did have them organized into like piles...but just not put into the filing cabinet.

This is the basket where I have been throwing all the current bills and other paperwork that I need to keep. Again in like piles, but just thrown into the basket.

My desk. It has become quite the dust/stuff collector!

Now for the after. I cleaned up everything and put where it belongs. Of course I have also filed everything in it's appropriate spot! So here is the after...

Here are all my files. After going through a pile that I filled up an entire brown bag and a half full of stuff I need to shred I organized into a filing bucket that I bought from Office Max. When going through my stuff I kind of stick to the way I do it in the Navy. I only keep the current year and two years before. This of course does not apply to taxes and other important things. I thought they were on sale...but alas it was not. But I knew I wanted organization, so I broke down and bought it. That green thingy...bought that from Target on sale and that just has the stuff that I use on any given day, while the rest of the file box holds things I really don't need to look at on a monthly basis. I even used a label maker to make my labels all nice and pretty :)

The desk afterward with everything put away. On the left side bottom shelf are my magazines that have all kinds of good ideas in them. Gotta keep em where I can get to them of course!

Then just for closure. This is where my filing cabinet was. It was broken and really of no use but for putting stuff on top of! LOL! Better yet I threw it out and saved myself some space!

So there you have it. Everything has it's place and I feel much better now that everything is looking much better now!

Not Me! Monday

Ah...2009 is here. Looking forward to see what is going to happen this year. Now it is time for Not Me Monday! I really did have to think about this one. It's been quite a boring week! The best kind I guess you could say. So if you didn't come visit me from MckMama's site then take a click and head on over there!

I did not at work and at home constantly check my computer as though little MckMuffin is a child of mine to see how he was doing. As well as the rest of the family. So glad that he is doing better!

I did not go to bed at 9:30 on New Years Eve. Nope...I am not even 30 yet, what is wrong with me!

The kids and I did not count the days down until the Neighba's came home! No way...I (we) are really not that obsessed about our wonderful Neighba's. Then when they did get home I (we) didn't drown them in our affection as to how much we missed them. Baby Neighba didn't have me giggling with her tooth filled laughter too!

Speaking of the Neighba's, I don't have her hooked on blogs and she created her own. I haven't gotten over there and help her set it up yet either.

I did not eat out a little to often in the last couple of days. I am really trying to eat better and work out for the New Year. No I am not doing the cliche New Years resolutions. I may not be organizing my household too, looking forward to hoping over to OrgJunkie's page to get ideas!

I did not throw away almost 200 DVD cases in that effort to get organized. That's a bunch of wasting, but I couldn't come up with anything else to do with them! Maybe someone will pick them up outside tonight?!

I did not wear all of my outfits again that Mark bought me because I am really loving my new wardrobe! I really do have more then that to wear.

Wow, I guess I did have a bit to say. Hmm. I need to blog more often I think. Maybe some of you could start Not Me Monday's, go ahead I dare ya NOT TO! :) Have a great week!!
